They remind us of our Mexican vanilla beans as they have a touch of sweetness! We are thrilled with this crop of Grade A/B Blend Planifolia variety Sri Lankan beans and know that you will be too--all for only $15 per ounce. The Sri Lankan co-op sale will feature an A/B grade blend where we mix the two together and offer them for sale. The split is approximately 2:1, with more grade A beans than grade B beans. The grade A beans are dark, fragrant, and plump while averaging 6 inches whereas the grade B beans are lighter in color, averaging 5 inches while having a lower moisture rating and are less fragrant but still full of caviar. Just to be clear, their is not a choice of A or B grade, but the two grades will be mixed together.
